Salvaged Windows


Old windows are incredibly versatile when it comes to styling your home. Whenever I come across one at a reasonable price—or for free—I never pass up the opportunity. I love incorporating them into various spaces throughout my home, as they add a simple yet impactful design element. Their charm easily complements a range of styles, from cottagecore and farmhouse to eclectic, making them a timeless and adaptable addition to any home.

You can use them for bulletin boards, chalkboards, & even as a way to display a collage of pictures! You can even layer framed prints with them for extra character.

I've included a few photos from my home to show how I've incorporated old windows into my space.




Why They Work:

  1. Create Depth: Faux windows trick the eye into perceiving depth where there isn’t any, which can make a room feel larger and more open.
  2. Reflect Light: If they include a mirror or are placed strategically, they can reflect natural or artificial light, brightening the space.
